Bus services affected by the strike of bus drivers – Parcels delivered as normal
The strike of bus drivers will start has ended. The strike has affected bus services and some services may still be suspended until Monday March 6 th.
Up-to-date timetable information on Matkahuolto’s website
The timetable search and online ticketing on Matkahuolto’s website and the Bus Tickets app will provide up-to-date information even during the strike. The website and the app will show the departures that will be operated in spite of the strike.
However, you should check the departure time on the website and apps as close to the time of travel as possible, as changes can be made by operators at very short notice.

Compensation for tickets not used due to strike
If services are suspended due to the strike, we will automatically refund one-way tickets purchased on Matkahuolto’s website and apps for those services. You do not need to contact our customer service, as we will receive information about cancelled services directly from the company operating the service.
For season tickets purchased from Matkahuolto, you can apply for a refund on a case-by-case basis via an online form (the form is in Finnish).
Parcels are delivered as normal
The strike of bus drivers and the transport sector will not affect Matkahuolto’s parcel services. We will deliver parcels as normal even during the strike.
However, the strike could have some impact on the speed of delivery of express parcels, insofar as our partners are affected by the strike.
Matkahuolto service points will remain open
Matkahuolto is not a party to the potential strike. Matkahuolto stations and service points will be open as usual during the strike.
